Thanks for visiting my website! I have lots of interesting projects that keep me busy, but I can make room for more if it sounds interesting. I enjoy teaching art and photography classes at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum Art Institute. There is always something new and exciting to photograph there!

My Story

My name is Jay Pierstorff, and photography has been my lifelong passion. Born in Lewiston, Idaho, I grew up in Northern California, where I honed my craft as a professional photographer. For many years, I captured the essence of small-town life—portraits, weddings, agricultural businesses, and video productions—each image telling a unique story. After retiring to Tucson, Arizona with my wife Jan, I found a new home at the Desert Museum, where I've had the privilege of working alongside inspiring people in an incredible setting. Whether behind the lens or immersed in the beauty of the desert, I continue to find joy in creativity, storytelling, and the natural world.
